Fuel Cost Calculator

This calculator estimates the total cost of fuel for a trip, whether you're planning a road trip or just budgeting your daily commute. It works with both miles and kilometers.

It divides your trip distance by your vehicle's fuel economy (MPG) to find the gallons of fuel needed, then multiplies that by the price per gallon to get total cost. If you enter distance in kilometers, it's converted to miles first.

Example: A 500-mile trip in a car that gets 30 MPG, with gas at $3.50/gallon, needs about 16.7 gallons, costing roughly $58.33 — or about $11.67 per 100 miles driven.
