Grade Calculator

This calculator figures out your overall course grade when different assignments count for different portions of your final mark — like homework, midterms, and a final exam each carrying their own weight.

It works by multiplying each assignment's score by its weight, summing those weighted values, then dividing by the total weight so the result is normalized even if your weights don't perfectly total 100%.

Example: if homework is worth 20% and you scored 90%, a midterm is worth 30% at 78%, and a final exam is worth 50% at 85%, your grade is (90×20 + 78×30 + 85×50) / 100 = 84.4%, which lands as a B.
